Personal Sound Sessions
Personal Sound Sessions at WhiteDove are crafted as one‑to‑one journeys into deep rest, clarity and reconnection with your own inner rhythm. You simply lie down, close your eyes and allow carefully chosen instruments to work directly with your body, breath and subtle energy field. Each session begins with a short conversation to feel where you are right now – physically, emotionally and mentally – and what you would like to invite or release.
From there, a unique soundscape unfolds around you: gongs, singing and talking bowls, didgeridoo, flutes, shaman drum, chimes, voice and silence are woven together in response to your system rather than a fixed protocol. The vibrations invite your brainwaves to slow down, your nervous system to soften and your whole being to move from fight‑or‑flight into a spacious parasympathetic state. Many people report deep relaxation, emotional unwinding, inner imagery, insights and a sense of being gently “reset” from the inside out.
Personal Sound Sessions are suitable for anyone seeking a safe space to decompress, integrate, explore consciousness or simply receive nurturing attention without needing to talk or analyse. No experience is required; your only task is to arrive, be honest about how you feel and allow the sound to do its work. Sessions are alcohol‑free, substance‑free and held in an atmosphere of respect, confidentiality and care.
Group Sound Events
Group Sound Events bring people together to share an immersive sonic experience in the field of the shala. These events are part concert, part ceremony, part collective meditation: participants lie down or sit comfortably while waves of live instruments move through the room, creating a shared dreamspace that each person travels in their own way. The group energy amplifies the journey, often allowing deeper release and a tangible sense of connection.
Each event is built around a particular intention or theme – seasonal transitions, lunar cycles, elements, renewal, gratitude, inner vision, and more. Through gongs, bowls, drums, didgeridoo, flutes, rattles, voice and subtle electronics, the sound opens, builds, dissolves and settles following the arc of the group and the moment. There is nothing you have to “do” correctly: you are welcome to rest, meditate, sleep, feel, cry, laugh quietly, or simply listen.
Group Sound Events are ideal if you wish to experience this work with friends, partners or community, or if you are curious and want to taste the power of sound before stepping into deeper one‑to‑one sessions or trainings. They can also be woven into retreats and gatherings as opening or closing ceremonies. Spaces are usually limited so that the field stays contained and intimate, and pre‑booking is recommended.
Studio Sessions
Studio Sessions are for those who want to capture the living sound of the shala in high‑quality recordings or co‑create new works that blend instruments, modular sound and careful production. These sessions can be purely musical, purely therapeutic, or anywhere in between – from documenting a personal journey in sound to recording material for albums, films, performances or installations.
The studio environment allows for focused exploration: microphones close to instruments, subtle layering, fine control over dynamics and space. Gongs, bowls, drum, didgeridoo and other acoustic instruments can be combined with drones, synths, field recordings and processing to craft detailed inner landscapes that still retain the raw presence of live playing. For practitioners and artists, this is an opportunity to translate ceremonial sound into formats that can travel – tracks for meditation, sleep, breathwork, dance, audiovisual pieces or background atmospheres for your own spaces and offerings.
Studio Sessions can be booked as private recording days, collaborative creative labs or commissioned works for specific projects. Together we discuss the intention, context and feeling you wish to evoke, then design a process that honours both the technical side of recording and the subtle energetic work underlying the sounds.
Didgeridoo Workshops
Didgeridoo Workshops open a direct pathway into breath, rhythm and resonance. The didgeridoo is one of the most ancient instruments on the planet, and working with it is as much about body and awareness as it is about music. These workshops are designed for both complete beginners and those who have already started playing and want to deepen their technique and relationship with the instrument.
Participants learn the foundations: posture, basic drone, simple rhythmic patterns, circular breathing step‑by‑step, and how to use the voice gently inside the instrument. Alongside technique, emphasis is placed on listening to your own body, cultivating relaxed, efficient breathing and understanding how the didgeridoo interacts with the nervous system. Over time, the instrument becomes a tool for self‑regulation, meditation, trance and expression, rather than just a cool sound.
Workshops may be offered as short introductory classes, multi‑day intensives or ongoing practice circles. Instruments can often be provided for learning sessions, and guidance is given on choosing your own didgeridoo if you wish to continue. All teachings are rooted in respect for the origins of the instrument and an awareness that we are engaging with a living tradition, translating its gifts into contemporary healing and creative contexts with sensitivity and care.
